Relay For Life

What is Relay For Life?

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

Every July, at the Macon County, IL Relay, teams of people camp out at Richland Community College and take turns walking a track in the parking lot. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relay lasts from 6pm on Friday until 7am Saturday. Join us July 20-21, 2012!

Where does my money go?

The money raised at Relay For Life goes to support every aspect of the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer. Relay donations are not dedicated to one specific type of cancer. The money that is raised goes towards cancer research programs, patient support programs & services, prevention & early detection programs, cancer information services, advocacy and public policy.
